Section 125/129
Kipp & Company Administrators, Ltd. offers Section 125, Section 129 and Section
132 Cafeteria Plans that are a benefit to employers and
employees. Cafeteria
Plans take advantage of pre-tax savings to help employee’s
pay for out-of-pocket expenses. Cafeteria Plans are great
for employers because they help save on FICA taxes. Section
132 plans reimburse transportation expenses like parking
and mass-transit vouchers.
Section 125 Plans help with medical,
dental, and vision expenses not covered by an employee’s healthcare plan. Section
129 Plans help employees with day care and elder care expenses. Cafeteria
Plan administration includes Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
plans and Dependent Care Account (DCA) plans customized to
meet the needs and expectations of our clients. The employer
decides what limits they want to set for the FSA plans and
how they want employees to access their money. Employees
decide how much they want to elect from their paycheck during
the yearly Open Enrollment period. They cannot change
this amount once the year has begun unless they have a qualifying
event. Kipp & Company Administrators, Ltd. can assist with meetings to
help employees better understand how they may utilize the
accounts and save more money.
Kipp & Company Administrators, Ltd. has partnered with Metavante
to offer the MBI Flex Convenience Card. The MBI Flex Convenience card
is a debit card that gives employees instant access to their
FSA plans at a variety of medical, dental, vision and prescription
vendors. Employers can also offer this to their DCA participants
to use at their day care providers. The card offers immediate
reimbursement for your employees. Employees are always
free to submit manual reimbursements, should a provider not
take the card.
Section 132
Transportation plans are a fast-growing
segment of employee offered benefits. Commuter Expense
Reimbursement Accounts (CERA) take advantage of pre-tax deductions
for reimbursement of parking, van-pooling, and mass-transit
expenses. In contrast to Section 125/129 plans, transportation
plans allow employees to roll unused funds forward into future
plan years as long as they continue to use the dollars for
transportation expenses.
